This week’s “Video of the Week” features six couples dancing the Samba in a ‘competition simulation’ for this year’s NDCA Amateur Latin National Championships in Provo, Utah and then the final of the Samba for this event. What is key to note here is that 3 of the 6 couples were finalists in this event and all 6 couples placed in the Top 9! Yes, you read it right, 6 of the top 9 couples were preparing for this event at Brooklyn DanceSport Club with Eugene Katsevman and Maria Manusova and the results really show. From the 2013 NDCA Amateur Latin Champions, Denys Drozdyuk and Antonina Skobina, to fourth place finalists, Aleksey Karaulov and Vlada Semenova dancing in their first competition together, this was an impressive run-through and an even more impressive final. Come join us every Tuesday at 8:30 PM and Thursday at 8:00 PM to practice with the Nation’s best dancers.
