BDSC Couples Have an Incredible Month of March!

March will be a month to remember for Brooklyn DanceSport Club and its members! Three couples that stand-out in particular are Denys Drozdyuk and Antonina Skobina, Pasha Stepanchuk and Anastasiya Danilova, and Patryk Ploszaj and Anna Kaczmarski. All three couples had amazing results in the month of March and it’s no surprise why you can always find these three couples practicing hard in the studio!

Denys and Antonina finally achieved their dream result of becoming US National Amateur Latin Champions and couldn’t of have dreamed of a better result at this stage of their career. Considering their commitment to the fundamentals of dancing combined with their impeccable musicality, it’s not hard to see why they have been enjoying much success recently. One prime example of this success was becoming the San Francisco Open Amateur Latin Champions earlier in the month. It is truly amazing to see how far along Denys and Antonina have made in the last couple of years all thanks to their dedication on the practice floor and the dedication of their coaches, Eugene Katsevman and Maria Manusova.

One of our newest couples, Pasha and Anastasiya have also enjoyed a very successful March, most notably becoming the US National Amateur Latin Vice-Champions after only 8 months of dancing together! Pasha and Anastasiya who took all seconds at the US Nationals, were also finalists (placing 4th) at the NDCA US National Amateur Latin Championships. Pasha and Anastasiya are one of the most exciting couples to watch on the dance floor and always demand your attention when they are dancing. What sets them apart from most of the other couples is their superb chemistry on the dance floor, and they truly dance as a couple. Having also become finalists of the San Francisco Open Amateur Latin Championships, we the staff at BDSC are truly proud of the progress this relatively new couple has made!

Our Junior All-Star couple, Patryk and Anna, had one of the most eventful months. Patryk and Anna, having recently become Junior 2 US National DanceSport Champions in 10-Dance, Latin and Standard, are coached by 11-Time US National Amateur Latin Champions, Eugene Katsevman and Maria Manusova, and 5-Time Russian National Amateur Standard Champions, Marat Gimaev and Alina Basyuk, and the fact that they take after their coaches’ winning ways is not a surprise and is a testament to the hard-work their coaches put in. Before traveling to Baltimore, Maryland for the US National DanceSport Championships, Patryk and Anna journeyed to Moscow, Russia for the WDSF Junior 2 Standard World Championships. In Moscow, Patryk and Anna had one of their best results on the world stage, placing 24th out of 61 couples. During their time in Moscow, Patryk and Anna also had time to place 19th (out of 117) at the WDSF Junior 2 Latin Open Championships at the Academy Cup. It is truly a pleasure to see the maturity level of Patryk and Anna on the dance floor. They put it in as much effort into their practice as anybody and it is quite delightful to see how each step and movement is clearly worked out and how they leave nothing to chance. Patryk and Anna also won the Carrie Ann Inaba “Star Quality Award” at the US Nationals in Baltimore, Maryland.
