Brooklyn DanceSport Club couples have two amazing evenings at the Manhattan DanceSport Championships!

As the competition grows stiffer at the Manhattan DanceSport Championships, our couples seem to be always up for the challenge. With hours spent training on daily training, it is no wonder why 6 of our couples made 4 major finals.

Thursday evening was highlighted for BDSC by Stanislav Savich and Annie He winning the Rising Star Professional Latin as their first competition together as professionals! Stas and Annie truly looked like natural professionals on the dance floor together. Roman Lerner and Vera Iakovleva were fifth in the final!

With couples such as Riccardo Cocchi and Yuliya Zagoruychenko dancing in the Professional Latin on Friday evening, Andrei Kazlouski and Asta Sigvaldadottir were able to place third. Andrei and Asta keep improving and building on their amazing Blackpool Dance Festival result.

Saturday evening featured two major finals for BDSC couples. The Amateur Latin competition was the strongest it has ever been with 5 couples in the top 24 of the Amateur Latin in Blackpool. BDSC had two couples in the final, with Denys Drozdyuk and Antonina Skobina placing 4th and Pasha Stepanchuk and Anastasiya Danilova placing 6th.

On the eve of Marat’s birthday, Marat Gimaev and Alina Basyuk were runners-up at the Professional Standard only losing to World Champions, Arunas Bizokas and Katusha Demidova. Marat and Alina showed an inspired form of dancing and displayed a rare form.

Today the younger generation of BDSC couples are performing and hopefully they will follow suit in their coaches’ footsteps!

Congratulations to Stanislav Savich and Annie He for winning their first competition as Professionals together!

Stanislav Savich and Annie He recorded their first win in the Professional Rising Star Latin at the Manhattan DanceSport Championships as they danced as Professionals for the first time together. This is an amazing result and their hard-work and dedication on the dance floor really is paying off. Stas and Annie also made the Quarter-Final of the Professional Latin, a result they can truly be proud of as well. It won’t be too long until they’ll be in the final!

With summer vacation in full effect and the heat being turned up, BDSC couples continue to ‘burn-up’ the dance floor!

As summer vacation is in full swing and the temperatures outside reach 100 degrees, couples continue to come to the dance studio to practice hard and do some really good dancing.  With important competitions such as Manhattan DanceSport Championships and the Empire State DanceSport Championships just around the corner, BDSC couples keep dancing through their summer vacation. This week over 20 couples came to  to our popular practice rounds !

This is the sort of dedication we at BDSC are truly proud of and the kind of work ethic that inspires everyone. It is not just the older couples practicing hard through this heat, but couples as young as 8 spend many hours taking private lessons, group classes, and most importantly practicing!

This inspirational image of our younger dancers bodes well for the future generation of ballroom dancing. It is not a surprise when some of our couples improve the  most the summer!  If you would like to come in and join the fun, give us a call or contact us.  We look forward to seeing you soon!

That's it - back to the top of page!
