Stanislav and Annie have proven to be one of Brooklyn Dancesport Club’s most successful and consistent Professional couples, placing in the top 3 in nearly every Professional Rising-Star Latin event. This weekend was no different, when Stanislav and Annie became the Professional Rising-Star Latin Champions and placed 3rd in the Professional Latin Championships at the 2013 American Star Ball. With such consistent improvement and results, Stanislav and Annie have really put their names on the map in Professional Latin and we wish them continued success!

BDSC’s Two 2013 Amateur Latin United States National Champions featured on “Dance Beat”
This year, BDSC had 2 Amateur Latin National Champions with Denys Drozdyuk and Antonina Skobina becoming the 2013 United States Amateur Latin Champions and Pasha Stepanchuk and Anastasiya Danilova becoming the 2013 USA Dance Amateur Latin Champions. These two couples encompass what hard-work, dedication and perseverance can achieve. Both of these couple was featured on the Front Page of Dance Beat. We are proud of these couples and wish them further success defending their National titles.
Congratulations to Denys Drozdyuk and Antonina Skobina for Placing 10th in the Amateur Latin at the Freedom to Dance Championships in London, England
This weekend, Denys and Antonina competed in the Freedom to Dance Championships and made the semi-final of the event, competing against some of the world’s top couples. As the 2013 United States National Amateur Champions, Denys and Antonina have consistently been one of the top performing couples in International competitions such as the Freedom to Dance Championships and have been preparing hard for the year’s biggest competition, the 2013 Blackpool Dance Festival. We would like to wish them the best of luck later this month in this competition!

Sometimes the music dancers perform to is so beautiful that dancers never able to capture it. The guitar solo makes your soul weep, this is a special song and a mesmerizing performance by Pasha and Anastasia to match! This couple always dances from the heart and that is exactly why our hearts instinctively respond to their dancing.

The Royal DanceSport Challenge is an annual one-day competition hosted by Jonathan Wilkins and Esther Don in Stamford, Connecticut. The Royal DanceSport Challenge is an annual event that is organized by Jonathan Wilkins and Esther Don and BDSC had 2 couples place in the Top 3 of the Amateur Latin at the competition. Pasha and Anastasiya continued their strong results after becoming the 2013 USA Dance Amateur Latin National Champions by decisively winning the event while Guy and Freda are continuing to show consistent improvement in their results and dancing as a new couple, placing 3rd in the event. BDSC would like to thank these two couples for proudly representing us and we wish them much continued success.

Aleksey and Vlada have had a near perfect start to their partnership, making the final of their first competition and winning their previous two competitions. They had an amazing result yet again, becoming the Amateur Latin Champions at the 2013 Emerald Ball DanceSport Championships. With such spectacular results to start off their partnership, Aleksey and Vlada have already established themselves as one of the top Amateur Latin couples in the United States!

Markus Homm led a seminar about the intricacies of a connection between a man and a woman in dance, dissecting every aspect necessary to establish a strong lead and follow bond in a partnership. This was one of BDSC’s most in-depth seminars and all those who attended the seminar were able to advance their understanding in the subject. BDSC and our members love having Markus Homm, 2012 German Professional Latin National Champion, at our studio and would love to have this dance legend back soon!
Congratulations to Dmitry Nikishkin and Olena Shvets for Becoming the Professional Rising-Star Latin Vice Champions at the 2013 Emerald Ball DanceSport Championships in Los Angeles, California
This week, Dmitry and Olena traveled to Los Angeles, California to partake in the 2013 Emerald Ball DanceSport Championships and had yet another amazing result. Dmitry and Olena are still yet to place outside the top 2 in any Professional Rising-Star Latin event and continued that streak this week by placing second in the Professional Rising-Star Latin. This was a close competition between first and second with Dmitry and Olena winning the Samba and the top two couples taking the majority of the first and second places from judges. We at BDSC commend Dmitry and Olena for their hard work on and off the dance floor and their results truly reflect that.

Since turning professional less than a year ago, Stanislav and Annie continue to have amazing results and they carried this on by placing third in the Professional Latin at the 2013 Sunshine State DanceSport Championships. Their hard work during practice and continued dedication is what is fueling this consistent improvement and sensational results. BDSC hopes that Stanislav and Annie maintain their strong work ethic and grow as a partnership!
