Stanislav and Annie have proven to be one of Brooklyn Dancesport Club’s most successful and consistent Professional couples, placing in the top 3 in nearly every Professional Rising-Star Latin event. This weekend was no different, when Stanislav and Annie became the Professional Rising-Star Latin Champions and placed 3rd in the Professional Latin Championships at the 2013 American Star Ball. With such consistent improvement and results, Stanislav and Annie have really put their names on the map in Professional Latin and we wish them continued success!

Since turning professional less than a year ago, Stanislav and Annie continue to have amazing results and they carried this on by placing third in the Professional Latin at the 2013 Sunshine State DanceSport Championships. Their hard work during practice and continued dedication is what is fueling this consistent improvement and sensational results. The Ohio Star Ball began as a one day showcase 35 years ago, under the direction of Sam Sodano. With equal amounts of creativity, courage and perseverance, Sam has developed this Championship into the largest Pro/Am competition, not only in North America, but in the world today. Held in November in Columbus, Ohio at the Hyatt Regency and televised on PBS, the Ohio Star Ball hosts several national championship events.

Andrei Kazlouski and Asta Sigvaldadottir were only behind world Champions, Riccardo Cocchi and Yulia Zagoruychenko, and Blackpool Finalists, Maurizio Vescovo and Andre Vaidilaitev on this night. Absolutely remarkable dancing and we are proud to have such a hard-working and dedicated couple represent BDSC!

Denys Drozdyuk and Antonina Skobina kept on par with their competitors and displayed a very high level of technical expertise. 
Amateur Latin Championships: 3rd  

Artur Tarnavskyy and Patrycja Golak had a truly fantastic result only after a few months of dancing together, beating some of the best couples in America!

Dmitry Nikishkin and Olena Shvets became the Ohio Star Ball Professional Rising-Star Latin Vice-Champions in only their second competition together as Professionals!

The United States Dance Championships is an annual competition held in the beginning of September in Orlando, Florida and is the National Championships for Professional couples. Our Professional couples were well represented in both the Latin and Standard styles.
