BDSC Would Like to Extend a Warm Thank You to Markus Homm for Leading one of the Most Informative and Amazing Seminars!
Markus Homm led a seminar about the intricacies of a connection between a man and a woman in dance, dissecting every aspect necessary to establish a strong lead and follow bond in a partnership. This was one of BDSC’s most in-depth seminars and all those who attended the seminar were able to advance their understanding in the subject. BDSC and our members love having Markus Homm, 2012 German Professional Latin National Champion, at our studio and would love to have this dance legend back soon!

This week’s “Video of the Week” features dance legends Markus Homm and Ksenia Kasper dancing a Solo Samba in the Final of the Professional Latin at the 2012 WDC World Series Latin. During their stellar career together, Markus and Ksenia were finalists in all major Professional Latin events and we at Brooklyn Dancesport Club would like to congratulate Markus and Ksenia on their recent retirement. After retirement, they want to focus on the coaching aspect of dance and developing the next generation of dancers.
Markus will be available to do that this week from Wednesday, May 1st to Friday, May 3rd. On Thursday, May 2 at 7 PM, he will be leading a special seminar here at BDSC. “Photo of the Week” – Markus Homm with Ksenia Kasper in a Paso-Doble Pose
This week’s “Photo of the Week” features 2012 German National Professional Latin Champions, Markus Homm and Ksenia Kasper, striking a fierce pose in the Paso-Doble. Brooklyn DanceSport Club will be hosting Markus Homm to lead a seminar and private lessons (May 1st – May 3rd) for a second time in the past 4 months. Markus will be teaching a seminar this Thursday, May 2nd at 7 PM and this would be a perfect opportunity to learn from one of the dance legends of ballroom dancing!
Last Seminar with Ruud Vermeij to Conclude our “Dance Camp with Ruud Vermeij” Event
This week, from April 22nd to April 27th, Brooklyn DanceSport Club hosted world-renowned coach, Ruud Vermeij. Ruud, along with 11-Time USA National Amateur Latin Champions, Eugene Katsevman and Maria Manusova, and movement educator and dance coach at the Dutch Dance Lab, Aleksandar Josipovic, led seminars, lectures, private lessons, and run-throughs throughout this event. The final seminar that was led by Ruud tied everything together and was the perfect finale to one of our best events. Thank you Ruud and Aleksandar for leading this event and we hope to see you back soon!
Wonderful Seminar Led by Aleksandar Josipovic during our “Dance Camp with Ruud Vermeij” Event
Aleksandar Josipovic showed Brooklyn DanceSport Club and all those who attended his seminar during the “Dance Camp with Ruud Vermeij” how a decade experience being a dancer at the Moulin Rouge, over two decades of Ballroom dancing and coaching experience, and an appearance at the UNESCO International Dance Council World Congress can make you one of more highly sought dance coaches in the world. Aleksandar taught a spectacular seminar on body coordination and how to dance from within your body; after a brief lecture all those who attended were able to perform their own variation of music interpretation and how to coordinate the body to this interpretation. BDSC thanks Aleksandar for such a wonderful seminar and we are happy to have Ruud Vermeij, Eugene Katsevman, Maria Manusova and Aleksandar continue the lectures this week. You do not want to miss tomorrow’s lecture with Ruud Vermeij at 7 PM!

Thank you to Ruud Vermeij and Aleksandar Josipovic for an amazing starting to our “Dance Camp with Ruud Vermeij” event. Tomorrow Ruud, Eugene Katsevman, Maria Manusova, and Aleksandar will be leading three more seminars and will be teaching seminars until this Saturday, April 27th.
