Ever since their wonderful results at the 2013 USA Dance National Championships in April, Aleks and Konwalia have been on an absolute tear in terms of dancing and results. Of the 4 categories they competed in at the 2013 Yankee Classic, they placed top 3 in all of the categories, even winning one of them. They placed an impressive third in the Junior I Championship Latin, second in both the Junior I Championship Standard and Pre-Champ Latin, and won the Junior I Pre-Champ Standard. These are simply fantastic results by anyone’s standards and we want to wish that they keep on with the great improvement!
Yet another strong showing for Stas and Annie as they placed 4th in the Professional Latin and won another Professional Rising-Star Latin Championship at the 2013 Yankee Classic in Boston, Massachussetts. After a good Blackpool Festival showing last month, Stas and Annie had a wonderful return to US competition and displayed why why they are considered one of the top Professional Rising-Star Latin couples in the United States. We wish them continued success as they prepare for the 2013 US National Championships.
Guy and Freda continue to grow their partnership with yet another strong showing both result and dancing wise. Placing 5th in the Amateur Latin and 2nd in the Rising-Star Amateur Latin, this was another step in the right direction for Guy and Freda. Being able to sustain this growth for Guy and Freda will be no easy challenge, but with hard work and dedication, that is definitely something they are capable of. We would like to congratulate them on the great results and wishing them best of luck in the future.

The New Jersey DanceSport Classic Summer Sizzler is an annual event presented by Mario Battista and Wendi Davies held at Roger’s Dance Center in Hackensack, New Jersey (formerly the Battista Dance Studio). This event is one of the 3 New Jersey DanceSport Classic events (Spring Fling and Fall Frolic being the other two). Congratulations to everyone!

Enjoy this Foxtrot performance by our Junior and Youth Championship Seminar. Dramatic ‘James Bond’ music and creative choreography allows dancers to showcase their musicality and performance skills. Our young talent also displays very solid ballroom technique. We are proud to offer this excellent seminar to our members. Brooklyn DanceSport Club’s Eugene Katsevman and Maria Manusova, along with Michael Chapman and Lee and Linda Wakefield choreographed this champion-winning routine for the BYU Dance Formation Team that separated them from the rest of the competition and helped them bring back the gold for the USA. An absolutely fantastic job! We thank the BYU Dance Formation team for their dedication to excellence and wish them continued success.
Marat and Alina missed the prestigious final by only one place. Their consistent progress in both their results and dancing was the story of the competition for them. They are role models to their students and younger generations an an example of what can be achieved with consistently working towards your goals. The goal of being a part of this highly esteemed final is very much within reach. We congratulate them and wish them continued success!
